May 19, 2008: Popayan to Mojarras
Pleasant up and down, some stiff, until El Bordo, then mostly down from there to the river, and a few miles of moderate up and down after that. We intended to stay at El Bordo, but a young man told us Mojarras was only 25k away. He was wrong. It was, as the map said, 47 kilometers more. But we made it. There was lodging in El Bordo and also the next town about 15km down, but nothing from there to Mojarras, which was just a gas station with a big modern hotel. Still cheap at about $7.00.
