October 02, 2008: Santa Rosa to Calapuja
Fast, easy, mostly flat. Ended at 3860 meters.
No accomodation in Calapuja, but the local Catholic church makes a point of putting up stray cyclists. We just showed up in the plaza and a girl came to ask us if we were sleeping in the town. We said yes (hoping there was an hospedaje) but soon a man came by and took us to the church. It was very nice, better than many hospedajes, with a kitchen, running water, bathroom with flush toilet and a patio for the bikes. Delightful. Thanks!
