All dirt. Some of it exceptionally good, as good as pavement. Not so much dust on us today, but still plenty of the nasty little bugs that suck our blood and leave us itching. Huanta is a very nice town after all that dust and all those dusty tiny villages. Finally started climbing out of the canyon... We stayed at the Casa Real hotel, which was an amazingly beautiful place.
