July 07, 2008: Loja to Vilcabamba
Pretty easy ride. Passed one entrance to Podocarpus national park - We probably should have ridden up to it, but didn't want to pay the $10 entrance fee when we might not really go all the way up. Vilcabamba is another easy gringo place. Lots of gringos, lots of services. Stayed at Izhycaluma just 2km past town. Very nice. Run by Germans and you'd never know it was in Ecuador. Excellent hiking route layouts, and ping pong and the like.
