We took the "new road" that they're just building (through Yaramanguila) instead of the traditional very difficult old road to La Esperanza. It was quite a road. Dirt all the way, but the grades were far better than the old road was reputed to be. We worked for our keep today, though. Most isolated stretch we've been on in a long time.
