In Inuvik, SOUTH on the Dempster!

We made it to Inuvik and we're headed south on the Dempster Highway tomorrow morning! I'd hoped to have a picture of Inuvik for you but the library is closing so I'm rushing it.

480 miles to Dawson City. A store in Fort McPherson and the hotel at Eagle Plains are the only real things between here and there. It's almost all dirt, and of course we hear all the horror stories about it, like bears and mosquitoes and moose. I think we'll have a blast. We'll let you know in 10-14 days. We're glad to have you along with us!

Hi guys!! Well...here we are in Anchorage...with internet access...and it's been fun to catch up and also read your website. You have been on (all of!) our minds since we left you in Inuvik!! Sure hope you are having a lot of fun and staying safe. We know you'll have wonderful adventures to tell! We had a good flight into Anchorage...with some worries about "moderate turbulence"....and it wasn't as bad as we feared...but did get a good JOLT at about 2500 ft. just as we came into Anchorage. (Nancy would have been singing her heart out!) Anyhow..since here we have been making more good memories...we've seen glaciers calving, whales breeching, and tomorrow, hopefully, we'll SEE McKinley!(We'll rent three Beaver float planes to fly us to the glacier!) This morning was rainy...but it's cleared this afternoon and eve so we're hopeful for a good day tomorrow to fly. All for now...thinking of you!! Hugs...Sharon and Stan
